Dhaka, Aug. 23 -- The government has appointed Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun as the Chairman of the newly established Invest Bangladesh Authority on a one-year contractual basis.

Prior to this appointment, he served as the Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA).

According to a government notification, Ashik Chowdhury was appointed to the post for a one-year term from the date of joining under Section 4(5) of the Invest Bangladesh Act, 2026.

In addition, retired Air Vice-Marshal Md. Shaharul Huda has been appointed as a Member of Invest Bangladesh Authority with the rank of Secretary on a one-year contractual basis.
