Chapainawabganj, Aug. 17 -- Another consignment of 660 metric tonnes of onions has arrived in Bangladesh from India through the Sonamasjid land port in Chapainawabganj.

The consignment entered the country on Sunday evening in 23 trucks, said Kamal Hossain, Manager (Operations) of Panama Sonamasjid Port Link Limited, which operates the port.

He said this is the second shipment since the government permitted onion imports to control soaring prices in the domestic market.
