Khulna, Oct. 8 -- Fisheries and Livestock State Minister Sultan Salauddin Tuku on Thursday said all farmers in the country will be brought under the farmers card programme.

"The government's broader goal is to increase productivity by modernising poultry and livestock farms," he said, adding that various plans have been taken to enhance the capacity of duck breeding farms.

The state minister made the remarks while briefing journalists after visiting the Daulatpur Regional Duck Breeding Farm in Khulna in the afternoon.

He said increasing the number of farms at the grassroots level would create employment opportunities and contribute to achieving economic self-reliance.
