Dhaka, July 20 -- Asian Development Bank (ADB) has warned people about fraudulent loan schemes being circulated through fake websites, counterfeit Facebook pages, and forged identity documents using the name and credentials of the organization and its officials.

It does not provide direct loans, grants, funds, or any other form of financial assistance to individuals, ADB said in a press release issued on Monday.

It also clarified that it never asks individuals to share personal financial information in exchange for support or requests money transfers through mobile banking or any other payment channel.
