Dhaka, Sept. 15 -- The government has appointed Md Abdul Mannan, private secretary to the chairman of the National Pay Commission, as the new deputy commissioner (DC) of Cox's Bazar.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate gazette notifications in this regard on Monday.

Meanwhile, the current Cox's Bazar DC, Mohammad Salahuddin, has been withdrawn from his post and reassigned as a joint secretary to the Finance Division, where he will serve at the National Pay Commission.

In addition, two other deputy commissioners have also been posted.
