, April 2 -- Rangpur Metropolitan Police filed 88 cases and seized 50 vehicles over in 48 hours till Thursday morning to restore road discipline, tackle fuel crisis and improve traffic management in the city .

RPMP media cell issued a press release in this regard on Thursday morning.

According to the release, special checkpoints were set up at six key points in the city-DC's Mor, Medical Mor, Mahiganj Satmatha, Central Bus Terminal, Shapla Chattar and Modern Mor-to ensure traffic discipline.

During the drive, legal action was taken against various vehicles including motorcycles, trucks and private cars, for not having valid documents such as driving licences and registration papers, as well as for not using helmets.
