Dhaka, Oct. 4 -- The Special Committee on Constitutional Amendment held its fifth meeting on Sunday to receive opinions from representatives of small ethnic communities and also the representatives of working-class people who contributed to the July Mass Uprising over the upcoming amendment to the constitution.

The meeting was held at the Cabinet Room of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, with the committee chief Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed in the chair.

The representatives placed different proposals before the committee on various issues related to constitutional amendments.

The committee requested participants to submit any additional written proposals they might have beyond those raised during the meeting.
