, Aug. 23 -- Members of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit in a drive arrested four suspected muggers from Jatrabari area of the capital on Sunday.

The arrestees were identified as Mohammad Ali, 20, Nurnabi Akash Majhi, 23, Jamal, 25, and Sohan, 26.

Acting on a tip-off, a CTTC team conducted a drive in the Golchattar area around 8:15am and arrested them while they were preparing to commit mugging, said Niaz Mehedi, Additional Deputy Commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

The arrestees were later produced before a court, he said.
