Sylhet, July 28 -- Three workers suffered burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion at a cylinder warehouse in South Surma upazila of Sylhet on Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred while gas cylinders were being loaded and unloaded at the warehouse in Khidirpur area under South Surma Police Station.

The injured were identified as Emon Ahmed, Zayed Ahmed and Akbar Ali, all residents of Khojarkhola area in South Surma.

According to Fire Service sources, a gas leak was detected from a cylinder while workers were loading and unloading cylinders at the warehouse. At one stage, the cylinder exploded, triggering a fire that spread through the warehouse and left the three workers burned.
