Bogura, Aug. 15 -- Three policemen were severely injured in an attack on a Detective Branch (DB) team during an operation to arrest an accused in Choksutrapur Haddipotti area of Bogura Sadar on Thursday night.

The incident occurred around 9:30 pm when the DB police team went to arrest Rony, 30, accused of a theft case filed in Shahjahanpur Police Station.

According to the source of police, Rony started shouting for after being detained and around 70-80 people led by fugitive Shapla Khatun and her husband Ashik attacked them sticks, rods and sharp weapons, severely injuring ASI Hasan Ali, two other constables, Modaser Hossain and Sojib Hossain.
