27th BCS: 77 more deprived candidates appointed
Dhaka, July 5 -- The government has appointed 77 more previously deprived candidates from the 27th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination to various BCS cadres.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Sunday making the appointments based on the Bangladesh Public Service Commission's (BPSC) recommendation.
The appointments follow a prolonged legal battle over the recruitment process. On December 18 last year, the ministry appointed 673 candidates from the 27th BCS following a court verdict. Later, on May 13 this year, another 96 candidates were appointed to different BCS cadres.
