Dhaka, April 14 -- Twenty platoons of BGB have been deployed in different parts of Dhaka to ensure overall security during the celebration of the Bengali New Year 1433.

The deployment has been made to facilitate a peaceful, festive and uninterrupted celebration of Pahela Baishakh with spontaneous public participation, said Md Shariful Islam, Public Relations Officer at the BGB headquarters.

BGB personnel have been stationed at important locations, including Ramna Batamul and its adjoining areas, InterContinental Dhaka, Kakrail, Matsya Bhaban, Engineers Institution gate, Doel Chattar, Bangladesh National Museum in Shahbagh, Shaheed Zia Shishu Park, the Chhayanaut event venue at Ramna Batamul, Ramna stage and Rabindra Sarobar in Dhanmondi...
