Rajshahi, Oct. 8 -- Police have arrested two more people in connection with their alleged involvement in forcing Rajshahi Medical University (RMU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Jawadul Haque to sign a resignation letter, from Baharampur area of the city on Wednesday night.

The arrestees are Ali Akbar Hossain and Delwar Hossain alias Dulal.

Gaziur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropoltian Police (RMP) said the two were arrested after their involvement was found through an analysis of video footage of the incident.

Efforts are underway to identify and arrest others involved in the incident by analysing the video footage, he said.

With their arrests, three people have so far been arrested in connection with the incident.
