, Sept. 7 -- Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members have arrested an alleged top criminal of Daulatpur area of Khulna and recovered several firearms from different parts of the area following his arrest.

The arrestee was Arman, also known as Armin and Dipu, son of Asaduzzaman Mithu of Maheshwarpasha in Daulatpur.

RAB-6 members arrested him from Boalmari in Faridpur district on Sunday night.

Later, acting on information provided by him, they conducted drives at different locations in Daulatpur and recovered several weapons, said Lt Col Nistar Ahmed, commander of RAB-6.

He said Arman, an accused in several murder cases, had left Khulna with his family and been staying in Boalmari upazila amid recent police operations.
