Dhaka, Nov. 4 -- The Information Commission has taken an initiative to organise "information fairs" at universities across the country, aiming to raise public awareness about the Right to Information Act, 2009 and encourage wider exercise of the right to information.

As part of this initiative, the Commission on Wednesday held a view-exchange meeting with representatives from non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to discuss plans for organising Right to Information (RTI) fairs at universities across the country.

The meeting was held in the conference room of the Commission, with Chief Information Commissioner Prof Dr Nahreen Islam Khan in the chair.
