India, Sept. 26 -- Yokohama Rubber has become a participant in PROJECT TREE, a sustainability initiative launched by ITOCHU Corporation to advance the responsible sourcing of natural rubber. The programme relies on blockchain technology to create a traceable supply chain, and Yokohama Rubber has begun using rubber procured through this framework. On 25 September 2026, the company started supplying tyres for commercial vehicles operated by FamilyMart Co., Ltd. as project-supported products.
