India, June 17 -- Vietnam Airlines has officially inaugurated its nonstop service between Hanoi and Amsterdam, becoming the first Vietnamese carrier to operate a direct route connecting Vietnam and the Netherlands.

Inaugural flight:
Flight VN83 departed Noi Bai International Airport at 3:50 AM on June 16, carrying nearly 300 passengers aboard an Airbus A350. The return flight VN82 left Amsterdam at 2:00 PM local time the same day.
Schedule:
Three round-trip flights per week - Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays - operated by Airbus A350 aircraft.
Connectivity:
The route enhances convenience for travelers and strengthens Vietnam's links with Europe through Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, a major hub for trade and logistics.
Executive statement:
Nguyen Quang Trung, Executive Vice President, emphasized the airline's commitment to expanding its international network and supporting Vietnam's global integration.
European presence:
With Amsterdam added, Vietnam Airlines now serves eight major European destinations via 12 nonstop routes.

From 1 July 2026, the Hanoi-Moscow route will increase to four weekly flights, reflecting rising travel demand.
