India, July 23 -- The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities announced a new Digital Visa-on-Arrival System, a key step forward in modernizing entry procedures for international travelers.

- Launch Date: Pilot begins 1 August 2026 at Cairo International Airport (all arrival terminals).

- Nationwide Rollout: Other airports will follow in stages.

- Digital Format: Replaces paper visa stickers with a Visa QR Code.

- Validity: Each QR code is valid for 48 hours from issuance.
