India, Oct. 21 -- The Uttar Pradesh government set two Guinness World Records on October 19, 2025, during the 9th edition of Ayodhya Deepotsav 2025. One record was for lighting 26.17 lakh diyas (earthen oil lamps) at the same location, while the other was for 2,128 priests performing aarti simultaneously along the banks of the Saryu River, as part of the grand Diwali celebrations in Ayodhya.
