India, June 26 -- New private rooms will be introduced on the Tokaido Shinkansen Line from October 1, 2026. These rooms will have Wi-Fi services, adjustable lighting, and electronic locks that open with smart cards. Each bullet train will have two private rooms. One will accommodate two passengers, while the other is made only for a single passenger. For a one-way trip between Tokyo and Shin-Osaka, a private room will cost 42,100 JPY (approximately USD 260), which is three times the price of a regular seat on the bullet train.
