India, March 29 -- In the past, people may have considered luxury to be excess and decadence: over-the-top amenities, hands-on service, and elaborate meals. But now, a new version of luxury is attracting people who yearn to be pampered in a different way-and it's all about what's missing: noise.
Hilton's recently released 2026 trend report shows that more travelers are seeking out peace and quiet, or "hushpitality." For a more literal take on "quiet luxury"-and to recuperate from stress, burnout, and overstimulation-people are booking trips that provide a sense of calm that's often missing in the hubbub of their daily lives. This doesn't mean there's no adventure in this hush-hush trend, the adventure just looks-or sounds-a bit different...
