India, Oct. 6 -- Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport is set for a major terminal overhaul. Starting October 25, 2026, the airport's Terminal 1 (T1) will close its doors to flight operations for redevelopment work, which is expected to continue until 2029-2030. The closure is part of a planned initiative to demolish the ageing terminal and replace it with a modern facility.
