India, Oct. 9 -- A landmark moment in Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Phase 1 of the Navi Mumbai International Airport on October 8, 2025. Built at an estimated cost of INR 19,650 crore, the new airport currently features one runway and a single terminal building, capable of handling approximately 20 million passengers per year. In later phases, three additional terminals, a parallel runway, and a dedicated VVIP terminal are planned.
