India, Oct. 27 -- Plans are underway to introduce Mumbai and Aurangabad routes on 'The Golden Chariot', one of India's premier luxury trains, featuring attractions like the iconic Ajanta and Ellora Caves. Currently, the train offers scenic journeys through southern Indian circuits covering Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, and Goa. According to officials at The Golden Chariot, timelines for the expansion are yet to be finalised, with the project currently in the planning stage.
The Golden Chariot is owned by the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) and operated by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).
