India, Oct. 21 -- Indian nationals will be excluded from the US Diversity Immigration Visa, also known as the Green Card Lottery, starting in 2026. The exclusion is because India exceeded the 50,000-immigrant threshold set by the US Department of Homeland Security over the past 5 years. This means Indians will remain ineligible for these visas until at least 2028.
