India, Sept. 2 -- Domestic aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices have surged once again in India, raised by INR 6.28 per litre on September 1, 2026. This is the second consecutive price increase since August, taking the fuel rate to INR 121.28 per litre from INR 115. There was an INR 5 per litre increase in August.

All about the latest ATF price hike

The ATF prices were reduced to INR 110 per litre in July before being revised upward. The latest increase is expected to impact operating costs for Indian airlines, since aviation fuel accounts for 35 to 40 percent of an airline's operating expenses.
