Bengaluru, Aug. 3 -- India's renewable energy sector has witnessed rapid growth, making the country fourth globally in installed capacity. As of June 2025, India's renewable energy capacity reached 226.8GW, comprising 110.9GW of solar and 51.3GW of wind power, almost 49% of the nation's total electricity capacity. India targets 500GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, accelerating its clean energy transition.
