India, Nov. 2 -- The Indian automobile sector reported mixed sales performance in October 2026, with Tata Motors PV, Hyundai Motor India, Mahindra & Mahindra and Eicher Motors reporting year-on-year growth. Hyundai recorded its highest-ever monthly sales, while Royal Enfield also achieved its highest-ever monthly sales. In contrast, Escorts Kubota reported a decline in tractor sales, while SML Mahindra recorded marginal growth.

The October sales figures could keep auto stocks in focus as investors assess festive demand, export performance and domestic consumption trends. However, differences in segment-wise performance and the impact of a high base and monsoon-related disruptions could influence the outlook for individual automakers.
