India, Aug. 6 -- Odisha's industrialization process seems to be gathering pace and traction. The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), approved 23 investment proposals, spread across 11 districts and worth approximately 4,573.87 crore. Once operational, these projects are expected to create around 22,873 jobs both direct and indirect.

The earlier approvals were more towards traditional heavy industries, but this time the investments show a mix of sectors IT services, renewable energy equipment, battery manufacturing, and biotechnology, alongside labour intensive sectors like garments and textiles that promise large-scale and women-focused, employment.
