How Did Lloyds Metals Use "Money Heist-Style" Logistics To Nearly Triple EBITDA In A Year
India, Sept. 15 -- Moving iron ore from a mine to a processing plant may sound like the least exciting part of a metals business. But when millions of tonnes are involved, even a few hundred rupees saved on every tonne can turn into hundreds of crores. Logistics can therefore have a major impact on profitability.
During Q1FY27, Lloyds Metals crossed a market capitalisation of Rs. 1 lakh crore and reported its strongest standalone quarter so far. Revenue from operations reached Rs. 5,412.9 crore, EBITDA stood at Rs. 2,120.2 crore and profit after tax came in at Rs. 1,526.9 crore. More importantly, EBITDA margin reached 39.2 percent.
