India, Aug. 11 -- India's hydropower sector continues to see steady rehabilitation and modernisation spending from state-run utilities as ageing dam infrastructure requires operational upgrades, even as fresh greenfield capacity additions remain a smaller share of overall sector capex. HCC, with a four-decade legacy of hydroelectric project execution, occupies a position at the intersection of this rehabilitation-led demand.

Shares of HCC closed 0.89 percent lower at Rs 20.00 from the previous close of Rs 20.18, with an intraday low of Rs 19.69, and market capitalization at around Rs 5,238.94 crore.
