India, Sept. 21 -- India's power grid is being asked to do more than it was built for. Solar and wind farms are coming up far from cities and factories, and their electricity is only useful if there are wires and substations to carry it. Building that network has become a business of its own, and states are increasingly handing it to private developers through competitive bidding.

Shares of Dilip Buildcon Ltd. were trading at Rs. 426.35, up 0.20 percent from previous close of Rs. 425.50. The stock opened at Rs. 427.10, reaching an intraday high of Rs. 431.25 and low of Rs. 423.10. The company currently has a market capitalization of Rs. 335 crores.
