India, Sept. 28 -- The share of this company, which provides consumer electrical products used for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure purposes in two major segments, namely wires and cables, came into focus after its new acquisition.

With a market capitalization of Rs 28,070 crore, R R Kabel Ltd's share on Monday was trading near Rs 2,534.95 per share, down by 1.76 percent from its previous close. The stock of the company gave a return of 101 percent over the last year.

What Happened? R R Kabel has announced its entry into the Optical Fibre Cable segment through the acquisition of U M Cables' OFC business for Rs 77 crore. The deal will be completed on a slump sale and going concern basis.
