India, Sept. 25 -- Bharat Bijlee's story sits at the intersection of three trends: India's rising transmission investment, growing demand for transformers, and a company-specific earnings problem. India's transformation capacity is planned to increase from 1,478 GVA in June 2026 to 2,345 GVA by 2032, while the transmission network is expected to expand from 5.09 lakh circuit km to 6.48 lakh circuit km. The plan is designed to accommodate rising electricity demand, renewable integration, data centres, industrial expansion and electric mobility.

With a market capitalization of Rs.2,479.06 crore, the shares were trading on Friday at Rs.2,193.25, down 0.13% from its previous close of Rs.2,196.20. It trades at a P/E of 22.2x earnings.
