India, Sept. 23 -- Bata India Ltd, one of the country's well-known footwear companies, has remained a prominent name in the organised footwear market for decades. However, its shares have come under pressure, declining nearly 50 percent over the year, putting the spotlight on the company's recent stock-market performance.

With a market capitalisation of Rs. 8,155.72 crore in the day's trade, the shares of Bata India Ltdrose upto 0.41 percent, making a high of Rs. 634.55, compared to the previous close of Rs. 631.90. The stock has crashed nearly 48.5 percent over the past year, falling from Rs. 1,226.50 on September 24, 2025, to Rs. 635.05 on September 22, 2026.
