India, July 24 -- Indian equity markets staged a strong recovery from the day's low as selling pressure eased during the second half of Friday's session. The Nifty rebounded about 0.68 percent from an intraday low of 23,606.30 to 23,767.45, improving overall market sentiment.

The recovery came after Brent crude, which had breached the $100 per barrel mark earlier, slipped to around $97.78, easing concerns over inflation and higher import costs.
