5.6% vs 48.6% Margins: Why This Power Stock's Wind Business Could Matter More Than Its Main Generator Business
India, Sept. 4 -- The business works in two very different sectors of the electricity sector. While its smaller wind power division owns renewable power assets and performs EPC and O&M work, its primary business is the supply of generator sets.
In Q1 of FY27, the disparity between these two companies' economies became especially apparent. Although wind contributed less than one-fifth of sales, it produced almost twice as much EBITDA as generators, which continued to account for more than four-fifths of revenue.
With a market capitalization of around Rs.6,625.62 crore, Powerica is currently trading at Rs.523.55, up 2.27% from its previous close of Rs.511.95. The stock trades at a P/E of approximately 21.39x trailing earnings.
