India, Sept. 20 -- India's welding consumables market was valued at around $1.32 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach nearly $2.20 billion by 2034. However, the bigger opportunity may lie in how the market is changing, with solid and cored wires already accounting for around 52.2% of the market and automation gaining importance across manufacturing.

India's welding industry is gradually moving beyond traditional stick electrodes towards wire-based, mechanised and automated welding systems. Stick electrodes still remain the largest individual product category at around 34.5%, but solid and cored wires together now form a larger portion of the market.
