India, Aug. 26 -- The tournament will be played in the T20I format, with India, Pakistan, Thailand and Hong Kong, China placed in Group A, while defending champions Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, hosts United Arab Emirates and tournament debutants Indonesia form Group B. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals, with the winners progressing to the final on September 13.

India are the most successful team in Women's Asia Cup history, having won seven of the nine previous editions. Bangladesh won the title in 2018, while Sri Lanka claimed their first championship in 2024 by defeating India in the final.
