India, Sept. 28 -- India's long-distance runners Seema Kumari and Parul Chaudhary will return to the track for the women's 5000m final at the Asian Games 2026 today, September 28, at the Nagoya City Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium in Aichi-Nagoya.

The medal event is scheduled for the evening athletics session, with the Indian duo listed for the final. Seema arrives with added momentum after winning bronze in the women's 10,000m final earlier in the Games.

She clocked 32:50.05 to secure India's first Asian Games medal in the event since 2010. Her 5000m personal best of 15:16.20 was set earlier in 2026.
