India, Aug. 11 -- Dave Portnoy has urged Caitlin Clark to walk away from the WNBA and consider creating her own league after the Indiana Fever star picked up her eighth technical foul of the season. The milestone triggers an automatic one-game suspension under WNBA rules, adding another chapter to the ongoing controversy surrounding Clark.

Clark received the technical during Indiana's win over the Chicago Sky after making contact with an official. Following the incident, Portnoy called on the Fever guard to stop battling the league and instead consider creating her own league suggesting she would be better off building her own platform rather than continuing to deal with the WNBA's disciplinary issues.
