India, July 29 -- Wimbledon continued to grow its global reach in 2026, setting new attendance records while generating close to five billion social media impressions during the Championships. Despite taking place at the same time as the men's FIFA World Cup, the tournament attracted a record-breaking audience both at the venue and across digital platforms.

A total of 550,151 spectators attended the Championships over the two-week event, narrowly surpassing last year's overall attendance. The All England Club also confirmed that daily attendance records were broken on three different days, with thousands of fans once again securing entry through Wimbledon's iconic public queue.
