India, Aug. 12 -- The House of the Dragon Season 3 finale has brought another major chapter of the Targaryen civil war to an end. Episode 8 featured the Battle of Tumbleton which shifted loyalties, dragon battles and several major developments that will have consequences for the final season.

With the eight-episode season now complete, the question is whether viewers can expect a Season 3 Episode 9.

No. Season 3 has eight episodes with Episode 8 serving as the finale.

The season therefore does not have an additional episode planned. The next new chapter of the story will be Season 4 which HBO has already confirmed will be the show's final season.
