Assam, Aug. 22 -- A 28-year-old woman, a mother of two, along with her alleged boyfriend, has been arrested in Assam's Cachar district for allegedly killing her husband by using a high dose of sleeping pills, police sources have revealed.
The husband, identified as Imran Hossain Barbhuiya (38), had recently won the Gaon Panchayat election and became the president of Rajnagar-Khulichhara GP in the South Dhalai area of Cachar. He died on August 11, and the family initially claimed he had suffered a cardiac arrest, officials said.
