India, July 5 -- Sumona Chakravarti has finally revealed why she stayed away from social media for nearly two months. Known for The Kapil Sharma Show, Sumona shared that she underwent surgery for endometriosis in May after the condition worsened despite years of trying to manage it. She has since spent the last two months focusing on her recovery, both physically and mentally.

Taking to Instagram, Sumona shared a post that revealed she had surgery on May 4 after her condition became more severe despite trying to manage it for years.
