India, July 24 -- The Commonwealth Games 2026 opening ceremony on Thursday night in Glasgow featured one of the most memorable royal entrances as King Charles III and Queen Camilla made a surprise appearance, stepping out of a life-sized TARDIS, the blue time machine from Doctor Who, to enthusiastic applause at the OVO Hydro arena.
