India, June 14 -- The Portuguese Prime Minister, Luis Montenegro, honoured Diogo Jota with a touching tribute ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026. Jota, who represented his country in 50 international games, lost his life in a tragic accident in July last year. The former Liverpool star was driving with his brother, Andre Silva, who also did not survive the car crash that happened in the Spanish province of Zamora. With Portugal gearing up for their World Cup opener, a heartwarming story has come to light. Every player of the squad has been gifted a special bracelet by the country's PM, which features the name of Jota, alongside other team members.
