India, May 30 -- Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's son Maddox has reportedly taken a major step in distancing himself from his famous father. According to reports, the 24-year-old has filed legal documents seeking to drop "Pitt" from his surname and officially go by Maddox Chivan Jolie.

While the request is yet to be approved, the development has sparked fresh interest in the life of the eldest Jolie-Pitt child.
