India, July 16 -- Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey stars Matt Damon as Odysseus, one of the most famous heroes in Greek mythology. While many know him as a fearless warrior, Odysseus is remembered just as much for his intelligence, determination and love for his family.

His story comes from The Odyssey, an ancient Greek epic poem written by Homer nearly 3,000 years ago. The poem is considered one of the greatest works of literature ever written and follows Odysseus' long journey home after the Trojan War.
