India, June 16 -- The U.S. Air Force community is mourning the loss of Lt. Col. Miles Middleton, the first person publicly identified among the eight victims of the B-52 Stratofortress crash at Edwards Air Force Base in California. The tragic accident occurred during a routine test mission on June 15 and claimed the lives of everyone on board.
